Anke,

Try booting the lib *with* the floppy in but *without* the hard drive, then 
power down and try again *with* the hard drive. I've noticed sometimes that 
the bios isn't very keen to change disks.

Plus, have you removed the spacers in the case (or is this an 8.45mm disk)?

Last thing - is the disk fdisked/formatted? Do you have access to another 
machine to set up the disk before you shove it in the lib? A colleague has 
had to set the disk up in a 50 before a 70 would see it... If you 
fdisk/format externally, don't forget to leave 40M or so at the end for the 
hibernation block.
