Subject: Libretto 50CT pcmcia wireless network card possibilities
Hi list
I have a Libretto 50CT running Linux (homebrew, kernel 2.4.3, pcmcia-cs
3.1.25), and a couple of D-Link DWL-650 cards. Unfortunately, this card won't
work in the Libretto (at least as far as I can manage) as it `requires a
Cardbus compatible pcmcia slot'. It doesn't have the extra Cardbus connectors
on the top of the card as in some cardbus cards, but it does require a 3.3volt
supply from the slot.
To the point: On insertion, the wvlan_cs module tells me `Bad Vcc', so I
guess that the Lib50 can't give a 3.3volt supply to the card. Is this correct?
The Lib50 pcmcia slot will only run 5volt cards? If so, are there any
802.11[preferably 11b] cards available which _do_ work in the Lib50 under
Linux? (e.g. Lucent, Buffalo etc?)
I hope this isn't a faq.. :(
Many thanks
David
