Lee that serial mouse could be your problem, I think it may be adding a spot to your reg, where it is looking at your serial ports for a mouse, and getting the input before the Streets and trips is. I know that I have gotten streets and trips running with my Libretto a 100, so it can be done. With success (which I've had with a | desktop and a Vaio laptop) a dialog box labeled GPS Receiver Settings then | comes up, with a choice of com ports. On the Lib (100CT, 64MB), I get to the | Configure GPS Receiver step and then get an ambiguous error message. This | happens with either a PCMCIA-Serial card connection or the EPR (didn't have | the I/O bar at that time). I have reinstalled Streets twice, and checked for | GPS output using Hyperterminal (confirmed GPS output). Also went through | several emails worth of tech support with Garmin - they gave up, said it was | Microsoft's problem. The Lib will recognize the GPS and work perfectly using | Fugawi moving map software (either connection works), but not Streets. To | complete the frustration, a serial mouse attached to either connection will | work fine. | | I haven't resorted yet to Microsoft tech support.
