As I recall, I deleted the entry for the sound drivers, went to Control Panel > Add New Hardware, navigated to the Toshiba sound drivers, and rebooted. As far as card services, I'm not certain. T think that entry disappeard when I deleted it and manually installed drivers for a couple PCMCIA devices... CD-ROM drive and modem.
