I >already own all the OS I need... I dun like your chances ... its probably all soft-this and soft-that ... all that 'legacy free' stuff (read about all the gripes people have putting Linux onto Toshiba Satellite 5xxx series laptops for instance). I find the mouse layout interesting, not only do you HAVE to use it with 2 hands, you'll have an awful time using it on a table. Speaking of which, is it just me or is the trend in laptops nowadays to make the FRONT look real thin but the BACK real fat? The back of that Vaio looks almost 50% thicker than the front! Hardly something to use on a table (ie. for SERIOUS computing work). The gripe I have about resolutions is more that you'll have a hard time clicking on buttons and the like ... the things that WON'T go up with font. Personally I'd probably stick to the Fujitsu P-series if I was going for one of those ... if you get the version WITHOUT the CD-burner, its not an awful lot bigger than that Vaio, the keyboard is a nice size and the screen has sufficient resolution without making things look too tiny ... - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
