You can use ANY 15 volt DC power supply as long as its rated at 1.5 amps or above (I think the stock Toshiba PSU is rated at 2.5A but I've not seen the libby draw more than 1.5A except maybe on peak). The only sticking point is that connector. The L50/70 and L100/110 (and for that matter, the Portege) power supplies are identical. If you cut the connectors off an L50/70 and a L100/110 power supply, you couldn't tell the difference between them, both are 15V 2.5A DC switchmode. I've had considerable success with just using one of those 2 pin connectors that links the motherboard to those lights on the front of your desktop computer (they're rated at about 1.5A I think, certainly the one I've been using hasn't been getting warm or threatening to melt) ... I just used a knife to shave perhaps 0.5mm off either edge, glued a thin strip of plastic to one face so that it won't fit in upside down then used that ... that, plus a $40AUD ($20USD) switchmode 3 to 24 volt selectable 2 amp power supply I picked up on special at the local computer store, has been charging and running my libby about 3/4 of the time for the last month (I leave my original at work now and use this one to charge my libby overnight) ... - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
