However, if you are deadset on painting the keys (the rest of the lib is easy) then get some primer and automobile enamel. To replace the lettering, use dry-transfer lettering like you get at the craft store, then put a clear coat of clear enamel over that. when painting the keyboard, use lots of thin coats.
