  I don't think there's anything in these Libretto batteries beyond just a
basic level circuitry.  For sure, they're not as nice as the Sony 505 series or
higher round stick batteries which tell you down to the last minute how much
charge they have in them.  Sony did a nice job with their batteries and put in
some smarts.

  Sadly, last I saw with poking around the DOS APM functions, there was only a
basic % remaining charge reported from the BIOS from the Libretto batteries, so
unless TOshiba is hiding something, there isn't anything inside.

  Of course, someone having taken apart a batteyr can tell us more whats in
them besides the cell.s
