I got quite handy at blindly operating keyboard controls one handed for >both, as well as using alt-tab to select between the two apps. I'd just feel for the right keys, and do things like stopping map tracking (Alt, g, arrow down 3 times, Enter), and zooming out past where tracking won't allow (Fn-PgUp) to get an idea of where I was on a large scale. A bit like playing the piano.

Though I need to set up WinAmp for keyboard controls, I was able to us >the Lib's mouse pretty well to stop MP3 play, toggle to SA, and hit Ins >to have the next turn info read to me through the IRock adapter into the car's radio.
I've been using Sonique (which has simple keyboard commands) with a folder of Playlists open. Its easy to Alt-tab and change playlists. Aside from the odd glance to make sure you have the correct playlist, its been pretty easy to pass the time on a 7 hour drive (and the occasional 15 hr ;).
