Hi Raymond

Thanks, this is very useful. I tried looking in the archive, but there is so much to search through!
Can you tell me why I need to partition first? How many partitions? and which setup files to copy ?

Hmm ... lemme think ... which is easier, YOU spending 5 minutes and going to http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ , following the links to http://www.technoir.nu/libretto/list/ , typing in a nice search term like "installing partition" (speaking of which, you've not even told us what OS you're installing nor the particular model of Libretto you're using so I can't really answer your question anyway), then looking through the 25 matches to find "Re: [LIB] Help installing OS on 100CT" then searching for that to find the initial post in the thread which, at a quick browse would seem to contain pretty much all you'd need ...
... or would it be easier for ME to do the same, digest it then spend 20 minutes typing out a digest (which I'll be doing on my L100 incidentally ... and if you've typed at length on its keyboard you'll know what I mean)?
</rant mode>

Sorry, it's just that I've got no problems with specific questions, the sort that is genuinely faster for someone to answer than for you to look for ... I've also got no problems with someone asking a question on the list not realizing that the answer is already in the archives ... but a general question like that after being told specifically that the issue has been discussed at length in the archives just sounds to me an awful lot like "I can't be bothered searching for the answer properly so I'll offload the task to someone else who is going to take just as long to find the info as I would and without giving them enough information to do so effectively" ...

Now I know I've probably just started a flame war on the topic but I think many of you will agree with the gist of this, if not the presentation thereof ...

*sigh*
