No probs! I believe the term "Libretterati" was in common use around the end of 2001 (gawd has it been THAT long!), I think it might have coincided with the release of the first Tomb Raider movie and/or the startup of the Libretto Beer Club (is that still going?) :-D
I've always credited Fran for coining the term "Libretterati" from an archive I did ages back. I'm not sure if she's even aware of the fact. But here it is:

Seems she was embellishing the earlier term, "Libretters" that had been kicking around since January 1998 that Don Stephens seems to have coined in this post:

I couldn't remember when I discovered the list, but since I'm having so much fun with Mike's new archive search engine, I narrowed the search down by year, and and found I came onboard in May 1999, about 17 months after falling in love with a 50CT in a Circuit City store in Santa Cruz, CA, and snatching it after Christmas for around $1300 with modem as I recall, on sale on New Years Day from $1600.
The Barnacle pitched in in November 1998 as Neil Barnes before his conversion to crustiness.
David Chien joined in March 1997 with the username 'adorable' aaaahhh....
The earliest list post I can find is from Jeff Goodman (are you still around Jeff?) only about 7.5 hours before David's 1st post:

It's message #00000 in reply to a post quoting a post from a 'David' that seems to have been lost along the way, and looks like it's got David Chien's fingerprints all over it.
