Well... it turns out the 3COM 3CCFEM556 all over EBau
that I mentioned was one I had previously tried, and
couldn't get it to work correctly.  I read a couple
other posts on the net were people had problems with
that model in their Libbys.

The only modem I can find info on that will work in
the Libbys is one you mentioned David.. The 3COM 
3CXFEM656C, an X-jack modem you wrote was going for
$24.95 on buy.now on www.ebay.com back on Jan 2001. 
The only one there now is going for $80, and the
cheapest I can find it is for $40 on pricegrabber.com.

So I'll just keep checking EBay from day to day I
guess.

Anyone else have any recommendations?
