If you install Windows and tell it you've got a US keyboard, it'll ignore whatever is on the keytops and behave "properly" (so whilst your keytop will say Z, Windows will think it's the Y key). In fact, this could be good - my Libretto has a British keyboard so most of the shifted number keys don't do what the keytops say they do ... but I've now got a right-Alt key (Alt-Gr behaves like a right alt key). The American version doesn't have the right alt key (it has a wider spacebar instead). In fact, I think the American Libretto keyboard is missing another key compared to the European ones but I can't for the life of me remember which one. Of course, this can cause havoc if whoever is using the laptop can't touchtype but I take it that isn't a problem here ;-)
Prying the keys off does work if you do it *very* carefully. The L100 (at least mine) uses the scissor-lever arrangement with snap-on hinges so either lift the key up vertically or pry it gently from one side (NOT from the front or back). Be careful not to break the lever arrangement.

I bought a German Libretto and instead of the QWERTY keyboard they seem to have
a QWERTZ keyboard (X and Y are exchanged).
So two questions;
1) How can I remap the keys in Windows so that when I press Z, I get (f.ex. in Word) the letter Y and vice versa (press Y and get Z on the screen?)
2) Also is it possible to physically swap the keys on the keyboard, so that I could pry off the keys Z and Y and then swap their places on the keyboard? I haven't tried yanking them off yet because I'm afraid they're immovable and I could break something...
