Well, if another USB card doesn't do it (the power output of cards to vary),
then I'd look at a card that has a USB power adapter port - this will let you
plug in another power source to power the USB device.

You may also want to use another GPS unit.  Some use less power off the USB
port.  

Here, I did away with that and simply run a billionton CF GPS card directly in
the slot itself - no need for external cabling (besides the GPS antenna) - and
it keeps everything in the Libretto.  Works well with Microsoft
Mappoint/Streets & Trips for navigation, and with Advanced GPS for Mappoint
(AGPS), works well for live navi in the car (just used it last month to get to
a friend's house).
