Subject: Toshiba Libretto 100CT for sale

Toshiba Libretto 100CT 166Mhz/2Gb/32Mb for $150

This is a Toshiba Libretto 100CT with a 166Mhz Mobile Pentium MMX chip, 32Mb of RAM (originally with 16Mb, but I installed an addition 16Mb) and a 2Gb hard drive.

The machine currently has two operating systems on it: Windows 98 Plus and an older Debian Linux from 2001 running the 2.2.19 kernel. Additionally, Microsoft Office 97 is installed on the Windows partition. Both Windows and Linux each have about 1Gb of the drive.

Here's what you get:

1 Toshiba Libretto 100CT as described above
1 docking station for the Libretto
1 PCMCIA fax modem
2 PCMCIA ethernet cards with 1 dongle
1 leather (not sure if it's real or fake) case for the Libretto
1 power cord for the Libretto
1 PCMCIA external compact floppy drive (i.e. your A: drive)

I haven't used the machine in years and the software is old, but it all seems to work fine.

I have experienced some odd problems with this machine in the past. It wouldn't start sometimes and this seemed to be a battery problem. However, I cannot reproduce this problem right now. At the time that I am writing this, the machine is running well.

The hardware is priced to account for this potential problem. If it turns out to be a lemon two days after you receive it, don't tell me that you weren't warned! This is a final sale.

But, as mentioned, the machine seems to be running fine right now. Please ask questions *before* ordering.
