Try NetVeda Safety.Net, it's free and seems fast an efficient. You can find

I finally got tired of the free ZoneAlarm taking so long to load at boot.
So I just tried downloading a new version of Sygate, and found myself
redirected to Symantec. There I found a notice saying Sygate has been
discontinued!
Is anyone using another good free firewall that loads a bit fasted than
ZoneAlarm?
