Dear Libby Fans, My baby is a 110CT so it is a 233mx with 64mb ram and a docking station to my ps/2 mouse. I have the same problem all the time. I can't figure out what os is the best to me. Now I am using a windows me/win 2k dual boot with firefox. I can tell the ME is fine, except this an old OS. If you don't need new stuff and new drivers ME is great. It is stable and fast enought for everyday work. I use it to administer our network ( ssh, terra term and some novell stuff). Do some web browsing, listening mp3s and I can write cds with my USB's HP external cd writer. So am happy with it. BUT, if I have to connect via VPN or bluetooth, then I have to boot Win2k. Because the cisco vpn klient only runs on win2k/xp environment. I can tell it is still usable but it is more slower than the ME. I've disabled almost everything from the services. I does not run an antivirus and it is still slow. So am using it to only do some ssh admin work. About linux: I've tried to install debian onto my baby. It was pain in the ass since the standard debian install does not support the libretto floppy. I can't figured how to boot from my xircom ce56 network card too. So I had to install the basic part in an another laptop and then move back the disk to the libretto and finish the install. With debian the character screen was fine, but the graphics screen was sloooooow. It was slower than the win2k. So my bet is Millenium ! Fast and stable ! If you need any help according to the ME install, just drop me a mail. Libretto ruleZ 4ever !!!! ;-) Keep up with the good work in this community LeZ >>> On 11/2/2006 at 2:08 PM, in message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Lines, Nick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Date: Thu, 2 Nov 2006 12:36:41 -0000 > From: "Lines, Nick" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: [LIB] "State of the Art" on OS for the 100CT/64MB RAM > > Folks, > > I'm wondering what everyone out there is running on their libbys, > particularly the 1x0ct with 64MB of ram.
