As the handling of set configuration is likely to change once we add libusb0/libusbK support, since these drivers don't have the same restrictions as WinUSB, I would wait until that task has been completed before looking into submitting a patch. I'd need to have to look at the preliminary patch I produced at the time, but I think windows_set_configuration() was modified then to send the request at least for the libusb0/K drivers. Since adding 0/K support is one of our top priorities for 1.0.13, now that I am aware of the issue, I'll see what I can do to address it during that integration process, which hopefully will happen in the next few weeks.
