Thanks for the test. My understanding is that this was with the 
Microchip stack and that OS X and Linux work too?

Yeah, I do expect issues with WinUSB and a firmware that only answers to 
INTERFACE. But I didn't know what to do with that comment, since I 
expected libusb0 and libusbK to work (though I couldn't confirm it with 
the firmware I used).
I was pretty sure we had this documented in the "Known limitations" for 
WinUSB already, but I have just found out that this wasn't the case, so 
I have added it.

I'll leave you decide if you think this needs to be documented further 
in the code (or elsewhere) and send a patch or update the website if you 
feel like it. ;)

NB: it should be fairly straightforward to confirm that the WinUSB 
limitation is indeed what is causing the issue using the netmon with the 
Win7 USB tracing facility, and comparing a libusb0/libusbK trace with a 
WinUSB one.
