my mechanize application uses some https connections. often this takes 45 seconds or more for the data to be returned to my agent from the remote site.
on one of my machines, all works well. on my test box, the sockets are closing at exactly 20 seconds and reporting SSL timeouts. where on earth do i configure this? I forget the name of the ssl package i am using with libwww but it was the 'good' one that gave built in ssl proxy support... i can look up more details if needed =) -- gedanken
