Yup, got it now. I think there's an easier way to achieve what you want
though:
Assuming you're using the qt-gui plugin, just go to:
Options->Network and uncheck 'I can recieve direct connections'.
Faking licq running behind a firewall should also be possible, but not
without some dirty poking into its source code.
