        The <C-Enter> shortcut is used in lots of applications I use every day 
(KMail to send an e-mail, Pan to post an article, Licq and Gaim to send 
messages) and I've come to expect it to mean "Send" in that type of 
program.  If people want to patch their sources, that's groovy, but if 
this is ever added I hope it's an option that's off by default -- I know 
I'd get confused and annoyed if <Enter> sent a message!

        I'm sure it could make some people happy, though, who send rapid-fire 
one-liners.  :)
