Amidst the usual Monday Madness around here I've poked around a bit and made these initial observations:
This is true with the stable Debian package and a self-complied SVN tarball. If I start from scratch, a new user config dir (-b /home/denny/ newuser) , register a new UIN, then add users, everything works. Visible List et al. However, if either of the aforementioned versions are used with a user config dir that was working with the previous Debian (Sarge) package, the list problems appear. Been too busy for me to look at the various conf files in detail to see if there's something obvious, but I thought I'd pass this much along in case it makes any sense. More later, film at 11.
