Yesterday morning I had the same problem. I put some contacts in my invisible list and they could see me online. In the afternoon I had some free time and I decided to take a deeper look into it. I booted up in windows and did some sniffing, but everything seemed to be working fine, so I went back to Linux and everything was working there too. Today I'm also checking it and it works great. In my opinion, the reason why sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't is that the guys from ICQ are changing things in their servers and this is why some things have an erratic behaviour. ICQ6 is under development and they're probably adding some stuff to their protocols. For instance, if you search for users in licq and you ask for online users only, the result is some online and some offline contacts. I thought this was a problem with licq, but if you go to http://www.icq.com/people/?advanced=1 and ask for online users online it also returns some offline users, so I guess their doing some nasty things in their servers. I might be wrong, of course, nut this is what I've found. Can confirm if your visible/invisible list is working now? Thanks.
And I thought it was just me. I've double, triple, etc... checked these things and couldn't find anything wrong. I guess it is just a crappy protocol :( Jon -- ________________________________________________________ Jon Keating ICQ: 16325723 [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.licq.org GPG: 2290A71F http://www.thejon.org HOME: Minamiashigara, Japan
