The W3C validator for XHTML: http://validator.w3.org/ BTW, if you use Firefox you can add the Web Developer Plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 Which gives you a toolbar full of extremely useful controls, including the ability to validate *local* html and css (and even accessibility). I could not work without this toolbar.
