Oh yes, that one's definitely a clincher. Will need to rework the rules
for that. At any rate, the rules will not be recorded permanently but
reverted after application (or should I comment them out?) since none of
them are _required_, so there is no point in risking user files becoming
invalid. Maybe we should offer a list of _optional_ rules that are only
applied when requested?
