You already have such an replacement file in Documentation/po/it.po:

$ fgrep -C2 'Different editions from one source' Documentation/po/it.po 
#. @node in Documentation/notation/input.itely
#. @subsection in Documentation/notation/input.itely
msgid "Different editions from one source"
msgstr ""

Maybe that could be put to use.

I don't know if it is up to speed yet, but have a look at
