The fonts of the latest release can always be downloaded from
lilypond.org. For the latest stable release (which today happens
to be 1.6.7), just go to the directory
/usr/local/share/lilypond/1.6.7/fonts/type1/ or wherever you want to
install the font files and run the following command:
wget -l 1 -nd -r -A pfa http://lilypond.org/stable/mf/out/

I have extracted the fonts from the tar archive with windows binaries in
http://www.lilypond.org/gnu-windows/tar/lilypond/ .
Although the latest available version is 1.6.5, the font seem to work
for 1.6.6. So, perhaps it's worth to give it a try.
