great info, thanks! I've put it in a file called "readme.txt". > I'm all between distributions right now, but like every lilypond > debian user who is not developing debian I run testing and/or stable, > so I only install those items from sid absolutely necessary to run > lilypond-unstable. It would really be nice to have debs of "lilypond-unstable" for debian stable and testing, but I'm afraid I can't help you right now. I compile those sid lilypond-unstable for my own use and share it with other users/bug hunters so we can have more people using/testing the latest versions so bugs can be fixed earlier and features implemented sooner. However, I am considering the possibility of becoming a debian developer and making a official "lilypond-unstable" package. I guess it would be available for all debian flavors then. > What I mean is that lilypond-unstable doesn't mean "Gonna > bust your system!" but debian-unstable does. It happened to me once! :-( after that I decided to *only* use debian stable, but then I got sick of not having updated packages (like lilypond) and decided to use unstable again. I haven't any problem so far. > Thanks again, Pedro, for doing what you're doing. you're welcome. > And to all the lilypond team, thanks for a program which still has a > long way to go, but is already the best music typesetter available > anywhere. daveA I second that!
