Huh. I just committed midi-kbd.el to ELPA, the official Emacs package archive. And I wanted to add the corresponding functionality to LilyPond-mode next so that one can enter pitches and chords into Emacs via MIDI. But it should be mostly inconspicuous if you don't use it. But at any rate: the indentation and highlighting of LilyPond-mode is not at the standards of Emacs. That requires a lot of love to bring up to par.
