I tend to agree with Andrew on that, it may be impossible to set-up a guide that could work in all cases, due to the variety of environments. Maybe it is the reason the original guide is lacking so much of information...

I remembered Frederico talked in a previous post about having written a draft on this subject, almost ready for lilypondblog. It would be interesting to know where the project is by now?
