crescendo stops at \time

Hi folks,

this does not look good to me:

{
  c'1\pp\<\time 3/4 g'2.\ff
}

IMHO the crescendo should span the time signature and reach until the next
note starts in \ff

Should I get used to it, or should /could this be "tweaked" somehow?
