Thanks Knute!

I have been trying to figure out \include, but haven't quite gotten it yet.

Combining everything into a book works, but I have not been able to compile the
original files on their own afterwards. I'm wondering if it has something to
do with having to add the " scoreTwo = \score { etc. } " to the original file?

I just upgraded Lilypond to vers. 2.24.4, so I will try to play with this some
more tonight.

I agree it would be much better to use \include. Copy and paste is cumbersome,
even for a book with only 6 pieces in it.

Thanks again!

It looks like the topmost voice (the one that starts with a d-sharp) is missing
a duration. It should have a 4 after it.

\insert is actually \include, and these are much better to use if you can. If
you look at a previous reply of mine, I outline how you might use them.

Hi Lilypond

I am putting together a book of 6 short preludes. Each was originally engraved
as a separate file.

When I copy the files into bookparts, one of the files has changed music
spacing. The other pieces seem OK.

FYI, I am copying and pasting the elements of the score into the bookparts,
because I havent figured out how to use \insert yet.

Does anyone have any ideas where I should look to find the problem? I would be
happy to send the files, but they are a thousand lines of code.

I already tried setting the default paper size at the beginning of the book.
Is there a "page margins" setting somewhere that could be affecting this?
