There is no Mac application. >From https://lilypond.org/download.html, please click the Learning link under "For users who upgrade from a previous version". That opens the learning Manual. Then select the Installing link, which will take to a page with a link titled "1.3 Graphical setup under macOS". This gives clear instructions about how to download the lilypond tar.gz file, and then how to download Frescobaldi and install it. Frescobaldi is the app used to run lilypond on macOS. If you don't wish to follow multiple links, you can get to the installation section for macOS from this link: https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.24/Documentation/learning/graphical-setup-under-macos If you follow these instructions and get errors, please report back with specific problems. If you are trying to get the old LilyPad editor, it does not work on new macOS versions. I just used Lilypond and Frescobaldi today on macOS. It will work. Thanks, Carl
