I won’t spare you from hearing actual criticism. “AI” may be able to help you accomplish some tasks more quickly. In the process, it uses absurd amounts of energy and helps destroy our basis of living, which is the ecosystems around us. It steals intellectual property, using the fruit of honest labour to enrich a few already rich individuals. It prevents you and all other users from learning vital skills, exercising their mind, practising creativity, keeping in touch with the basis of their craft.
Endorsing “AI”, praising it and encouraging others to use it is an insult to everyone trying to make honest contributions to culture. Generative language models already cause unbelievable suffering in the way it destroys the psyche of its users. The faster we get rid of it, the better.
