Any debate over AI must recognize it's various uses and their finalities. Using an IDE with integrated AI is completely different than generating videos with Sora or having shrink sessions with AI.
AI is technology as any other tech would be. The problem is the owners of said technology that don't care about it's indiscriminate use; actually, their profit and financial margins increases and gets better through harmful use of AI. It is not plausible to compare a person questioning ChatGPT about Scheme code to a company generating hundreds of Sora videos to upload and farm views on social media. We should focus our critiques to the private owners of AI and their financial sharks, not the end user. And also fight for better legislation regarding AI's safe use - be it for the environment, youthhood or safety and security.
