http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.18/Documentation/notation/common-notation-for-fretted-strings#index-slides-in-tablature-notation The example shows a legato slide, a non legato slide and then the slide from/into an undetermined point on fretboard, which is what you are looking for. The circled numbers are guitar strings. You can remove them by using: \omit StringNumber
