Phil just gave me an example but in includes some unwanted marks. I've got my code just about how I want it. Rather than omitting all of the String Numbers how would I include the numbers for the notes of the slide but not other individual notes. Could it be \omit StringNumber and then \include StringNumber for multiple incidences or is there a more elegant way to do this? Here is the almost good code....
\version "2.18.2" \language "english" % Slide from somewhere not important... song = { % \omit StringNumber \hideNotes \grace { a8\3\glissando } % ( a8\3\glissando ) \unHideNotes c'4\3 ds'\2 f'\2 } \score { << \new Staff { \clef "treble_8" \song } \new TabStaff { \song } >> \layout { \context { \Score \override Glissando.minimum-length = #4 \override Glissando.springs-and-rods = #ly:spanner::set-spacing-rods \override Glissando.thickness = #2 } } } I have yet to play with the parameters of Glissando but I imagine they are more or less self-explanatory.
