Try a single space in quotes: " " -- Phil Holmes
Thanks, Phil. I found that in my testing later yesterday. It will at least get the project done, although in a way which feels a bit kludgy. I'll try to work out how to do arithmetic inside a scheme function (pass in a number of notes to skip, decrement by one and insert the quoted space), or I suppose I can do the work in my head.
The question remains, though: shouldn't an explicit SkipEvent terminate an ExtenderEvent in the same way a rest or a lyric syllable does? I can't find anything in NR which clarifies the situation, so I think a tracker item calling either for a Known Issue (with the workaround) or an enhancement, to add the SkipEvent to the list which ends a lyric extender, would be in order.
