There are a couple of sound apps I have stumbled across, I haven't had a

JAZZ++ from http://www.jazzware.com version 3, now can mix audio tracks
as well as midi tracks. Looks very impressive.
Also you might be interested in Sound Studio, its available from
http://www.elec-eng.leeds.ac.uk/staff/een6njb/Software/Studio/screens.html
it has some basic mixing and effects processing capability.
