There are many players using cddb - see the downloads link.

And you can also look at my homepage for a Java/native Linux CD player
that uses cddb over the internet (follow the gifts link from my home
page or the jcd link from the cddb links page). The cddb related source
code for my player is all Java and quite easy to read.

There's a write up of my Linux Java/native CD interface and elementary
GUI stuff at

  http://www.ssc.com/lg/issue28/hamilton.html
  http://www.ssc.com/lg/issue29/hamilton.html

But the write up doesn't cover cddb.
