i had a small utility once which would disable the monitoring switch
on the mixer .. hm, need to look if i can still find it ...
it was like a 15 line c program ..
unfortunately almost none of the mixers available do this although its possible
but maybe if you do a little search you might find one that does it
|call me an idiot if neccessay, but I can't suss out how to do a simple
|thing with my audio under linux:
|
|Whatever sound I put into my audio inputs- cd microphone line whatever
|comes out through my speakers...
|
|If I want to plug a sound source into my box and process it, say via
|the line in using pd or some other realtime thingo, how may I do so
|with only the processed sound emerging from my speakers? (i.e. not mixed
|w/ the original soundsource.)
|
|I feel the answer to this should be obvious. I thought muting it
|might work, but that kills the input too, so there's no sound to
|process.
|
|the only apparent option, adding the negation of the input signal to
|the output, is silly for many reasons. I am assuming there is a better
|answer.
|
|Please, someone tell me that this better answer is complicated so i feel
|less incompetent.
|
|thanks,
|dan(iel)
