Hello Lincoln Talk,

Just wanted to say thank you to all the school administrators, teachers,
parents, volunteers, and most importantly, the kids who walked, biked, and
rolled to school in huge numbers last week. It was so inspiring to see so
many kids come to school under their own power, talking and laughing with
one another, and overfilling the bike racks.

We gave out every bracelet we bought each day (over 1,000 in total) and
will make sure to have more next year. In the meantime, I encourage
everyone to keep walking, biking, and rolling. Even if it is not every
day, if we can reduce our car trips by 10% it will make a big difference in
greenhouse emissions and I guarantee it will make you healthier and happier
and our roads less congested.

Thanks again for taking part!

John Mendelson, for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
