Dear Daniel,
I hope that you have recovered from COP6!
I am sorry to trouble you once again about the Biodiversity Project
that I emailed you about in July. With time running out I still do NOT have
an Indonesian counterpart to prepare the Situationer and help organise
the 2 day workshop in Jakarta in February 2001. I need to know WITHIN the
next few days whether there is a reliable candidate.
The Situationer would be an evaluation of the existing Indonesian
Biodiversity Policy and its problems of implementation, incorporating
views from a broad spectrum including the mass media and NGOs. It would be
about 20 pgs long and will be have be submitted to CETDEM before the
Workshop, for which it could serve as the background document. We would be
able
to pay the author RM4-5,000.
