Hi, I've got a fancy of doing a multimedia project using Director 8 and Audio Xtra (demo one so far). The principle of this job is build an e-learning application that would allow students in a networked environment to listen to video/audio, record their own sounds through the microphone, do miscalleneous tasks with the educational material. The plan is as follows:
There would be two main projectors: the one for a teacher and the other one for a student. Teacher can control the workflow of any student. That is: send any data to a student, check his progress, give marks, etc. MUS documentation states that you can send different types of data. Though i don't plan using MUS, i think peer-to-peer connection would be enough (after all, there are only up to 12 students in a group), my speculation upon this is to set up one shared-for-all folder with all the media in it (audio files, videos, supplementary text files). Then, teacher, using the shareable folder, may send a MUS message to any of the students to complete a definite task. Is this a robust files-sharing approach? Then, actually, what i send this post for: what is the time frame work for this kind of project? I'm the only person accomplishing this task so i wonder, how much time would it take me, lone, to succeed in it? Thanks for any suggestions Petro Bochan [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email lingo-l@penworks.com (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
