I can make two movies, both at 512x342, set their display templates the same (document windows, resizable, titlebar showing with all the goodies, no border, etc.) and have one movie act as the stage and open the other as a MIAW, all on WinXP using DMX'04 10.1.0r11. When I do that both MIAWs are the same size, at least they are based on doing a screenshot then "measuring" the size of each in Fireworks, both windows are a total of 520x376 in size. Are you certain that you have identical display template settings? Were both movies authored fresh in DMX'04? Or were both initially created prior to MX'04? Some mix? What values of scriptExecutionStyle does each movie have? Sorry, I don't have anything definite in mind at the moment so I'm asking the questions that came up.
