Please forgive me if this is too basic. This project is for CD ROM.
I have a projector (1.3 MB) that plays 5 different movies (average size - 14 MB). The projector is the main screen, and the 5 movies are buttons on the main screen. When a button is pressed, the user is supposed to go to the appropriate movie (DXR). Several Performance problems are happening: When I double-click the projector file it is taking 20-30 seconds to start up (on a 32x CD ROM - Pentium, with 128MB Ram). Once it does start, it plays very sluggish. The buttons don't respond quickly, and it just isn't very "snappy". I have set the casts of the 5 movies as: "as needed". Could someone out there suggest some ways that I might get this to perform better? I know that I probably didn't include all of the information necessary - but, I need to get going on the right track anyhow. Thanks so much!
