Aha. Well the control panel tempo display is (in some cases at least) 
an estimate ofr playback speed. For example if you kick your 
framerate up to 999, you might still only get 60 or so in the Control 
Panel, because that's all the faster the program can turn over on a 
given system.

But an *increase* from 15 to 30 is another matter entirely. ;)
