ok, I found that one out by myself: Photoshop didn't put white as the first and black as the last color in the palette but the other way round, that's why Director wouldn't import it.
Now that I sorted this out, there's another problem: copyPixeling indexed images (at 8-bit AND 32-bit monitor resolutioins) appears to be much slower than images with #systemWin palettes at 8-bit monitor resolution and even a little slower than 32-bit-images at 32-bit monitor resolution. Do I have to accept that?
