Found it.  These are just very simple stage movie screens with many 
editable text fields on each, and a "go to the frame" frame script.

I just started eliminating things from a screen where this "hyper 
cursor" was happening.  It turns out that the client has done some 
graphics in Flash, and that is what is causing the cursor to flicker. 
If I remove the Flash elements, the cursor works fine.

I've tried playing with the settings on the Flash member, but nothing 
seems to fix it.  These are not animations, just static things like 
boxes, color fills etc.  Is there some simple setting to stop the 
Flash member from running?   Anything I can simply adjust in the Get 
Info box for the member(s)??
